Now considered the most definitive British luxury car company, Bentley Motors Ltd was founded by Walter Owen Bentley in 1919 in Cricklewood, North London, under humble circumstances. Within that same year, the first car designed and built by the marque’s namesake pulled out on to the streets of London. With a degree in art history and anthropology, nomadic Parisian photographer Aline Coquelle has always travelled the world—she has lived and worked in Central and South America, Asia, and Africa. When he returned to Europe, he founded, together with his brothers, the renowned Argiano winery in Tuscany. A writer and raconteur, he has published several books, including Wine Notes (Luca Dotti, 2002), Walking on the Wine Side (Gribaudo, 2013), and Vini, Amori (with Camilla Baresani, Bompiani, 2014). He is also an Italian style and brand ambassador, bringing together tradition, passion and experience in international strategy consultancy.
Photographer Laziz Hamani has produced work for the world’s most renowned luxury names. Although his talent for lighting and studio techniques has been acknowledged, he still appreciates—and finds it necessary—to work on location in a more spontaneous style. He has published more than 30 books on lifestyle, artistic and luxury themes, including more than 20 Assouline titles, as well as producing several exhibitions on his personal work.
After graduating school, while working in theater and film, Harald Gottschalk met the renowned Robert Doisneau; Gottschalk became Doisneau’s assistant and began fulfilling his childhood dream to become a photographer. Gottschalk has worked with other famous artists, such as photographer Keiichi Tahara and painter Robert Combas, and has had more than 60 solo and collective exhibitions in France and abroad. Parallel to his personal work, Gottschalk collaborates on many prestigious projects and publications with international brands.
